Please use this form to apply for an undergraduate teaching staff position in any class in the computer science department this semester except CPSC 100. In the past, there have been many different types of teaching positions. Now, however, almost every class in the CS department switched to a new “Undergraduate Learning Assistant (ULA)” position. ULAs are allowed to both grade and mentor students; however, their exact responsibilities will be dependent on the course instructor of each particular class. The one restriction of ULAs is that they cannot work during reading or exam periods. The pay is $18.50 an hour.
Two classes will continue to use peer tutors and/or undergraduate grader positions instead of ULAs. They are indicated below and you can use this form to apply for those positions as well. The pay rates for these positions is $17/hour.
You will hear back with a decision on your application 1–2 weeks before the semester begins unless you are on a wait list and we are waiting to see how big enrollments are for a class before deciding whether additional ULAs will be assigned to it.
