Avi Silberschatz, Sidney J. Weinberg Professor Computer Science, and Robert Soulé, Associate Professor of Computer Science, both from Yale University, along with Peter Alvaro from UCSC received an NSF Medium award for $1M to work on topics related to distributed shared memory. The award is Collaborative Research: CNS Core: MEDIUM: MASON: Memory at Scale on Networks.
