Joan Feigenbaum honored with the rank of IEEE Fellow

Computer Science faculty member Joan Feigenbaum has been honored with the rank of IEEE Fellow, in recognition of her “contributions to trust-management systems and Internet algorithmics.” The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is one of the main professional societies that support computer science throughout the world.

Feigenbaum is the Grace Murray Hopper Professor of Computer Science at Yale and also holds a secondary appointment as Professor of Economics.  In addition to being an IEEE Fellow, she is a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), a Member of the Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering (CASE), a Connecticut Technology Council Woman of Innovation, an Amazon Scholar, and a winner of the IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy Test of Time award.
