Andre Wibisono awarded grant to develop a novel framework for algorithm design

Professor Andre Wibisono has been awarded a grant for his proposal “CIF: Medium: An Algorithmic Theory of Hamiltonian Dynamics for Sampling, Optimization, and Games.”  Motivated by emerging challenges in machine learning, this project aims to develop a systematic methodology that leverages Hamiltonian conservation to solve problems in optimization, random sampling, and game theory. The grant is funded by the US National Science Foundation (NSF).
