Department Announces New Private Cloud for Computer Science Research

March 10, 2015

The Department of Computer Science at Yale University has announced the Yale CS Cloud, a new private cloud. The cloud will allow researchers in different areas of Computer Science to share advanced computational resources without losing the control needed to perform precision experimentation.

Yale CS Cloud is a joint project of Decentralized and Distributed Systems Research at Yale, Laboratory of Networked Systems (LANS), Yale Computer Graphics Group, and Database Research At Yale. Yitzchak Lockerman will serve as the Director of Cloud Services and Mark Wogahn will serve as the “Cloud Support Specialist”.

Students who are interested in gaining experience in cloud administration can contact the Director of Cloud Services for possible positions.
