Anurag Khandelwal and Abhishek Bhattacharjee have been awarded the NetApp Faculty Fellowship to explore the design of a unified data stack for next-generation IoT systems. The storage stack will enable a wide-range of IoT applications, ranging from 5G networks, smart factories, smart homes, autonomous vehicles to forward-looking paradigms like AR/VR and next-generation biomedical interfaces (e.g., brain-computer and spinal interfaces, cloud-powered prostheses, etc.).
The NetApp Faculty Fellowship (NFF) program encourages leading-edge research in storage and data management and fosters relationships between academic researchers and engineers and researchers at NetApp. Recipients of NFF awards have demonstrated to NetApp through a proposal and review process to be working on research that is likely to make significant and relevant contributions to the greater body of work and to the storage and data management industry.
