Professors Abhishek Bhattacharjee, Anurag Khandelwal, Rajit Manohar, and their collaborators Nick Turk-Browne and Hitten Zaveri have been awarded a grant from the Swebilius Foundation to build distributed data storage stacks that enable capture and analysis of neurological data collected from next-generation brain-computer interfaces. In particular, this project will study how best to improve epilepsy research by focusing on closed-loop systems that predict, detect, and mitigate seizures via deep-brain stimulation controlled by implantable brain-computer interfaces.
